I've noticed a lot of discussion about disk cache programs on the net, but I've never seen Flash from Software Matters mentioned. I'm using and describing version 7.06 of the program. Flash will allow the dynamic sharing of both EMS and XMS memory. It also comes with a dynamic ram disk. What this all means is that, for example, lets say that you have 512 KB of EMS and 512 KB of XMS memory allocated to the cache. If you have a program that wants to use either EMS or XMS memory Flash will free the memory for the program and then when the program terminates reclaim the memory. The ram disk also works like this. I've found that Flash is the most versitle of all the cache programs and that it is also the fastest. I'm not affiliated with Software Matters in any way except for beta testing and as a satisfied customer.
