We're looking for an MS-DOS program that will allow control of all MS-DOS functions thru the serial port (i.e. to be able to start an application from a remote computer and have screen contents sent back to the remote computer) Commercial or shareware is ok. Please send mail as this is not one of my usual newsgroups. Thanx Ron Beloin Cornell University INTERNET: U2DJ@VAX5.CIT.CORNELL.EDU BITNET: U2DJ@CRNLVAX5

I recently asked a similar question, and need to follow up, so... PC Magazine published in the January 1990 issue, an article describing a program called "PC Remote". It is available from PCMAGNET (see PC Magazine for details). It is apparently written in assembler, and source is provided. It does what is asked above. It didn't exactly do what I originally wanted, so I ended up writing my own, in Turbo C, rather than hassle with downloading from PC magazine and hacking someone else's code. -- Paul M.
