Does anyone out there have a reliable method for getting in touch with Textware International, publishers of tplus? I posted something to the net a while back about trying to use HP Softfonts with tplus. In my posting I mentioned that I thought they were out of business since the phone number I had didn't work and none of my e-mail was ever answered. Apparently nobody else has managed to get it to work either because I got no useful replies. I DID get a mail message from Brent Byer asking me why I never tried to get in touch with them directly. Apparently, his mail connection is rather poor since I sent several messages off and never heard back on any of them. Although he wondered why I didn't call them directly, he neglected to include a current phone number in his message! If anyone has a reliable way to contact them OR can answer any of the following questions for MS-DOS tplus, I'd appreciate answers. 1) How do you use HP soft fonts with tplus? The documentation that came with the package talks about files that do not exist in the MS-DOS version. I was assured when I bought it that it could be done but so far it appears impossible. Anyone else ever done this? 2) Is anyone doing legal size documents with tplus? Every time I try it, ljet blows up with an "out of core" error message on the FIRST PAGE! 3) Has anyone successfully tried to run off documents with the .me macro pacakge? So far I've had no luck, it keeps blowing up with undecipherable error messages. 4) I'm beginning to suspect that what I have is a beta version of the product. I've had several instances where a file will not go through their troff and simply inserting an additional blank character at some magic point in the file will correct the problem. Anyone else seen this? If ANYONE out there is using this product, I'd like to exchange info with you. Every time I try to push the product at all, it seems to break. Help? On a related thread, is there a version of troff for MS-DOS that really works? /\/\ \/\/ -- Michael R.
