Quaterdeck has been running ads for their latest release of DESQview (r2.3) and QEMM (r5.1). An upgrade is available for $20 + 5 s/h for 2.26 owners. Has anyone used the new versions of DV and QEMM? Have you tried to use Windows or Windows applications with it? How is Quaterdeck's track record with handling upgrades and new releases? (I've been very happy with DV 2.26 and QEMM 5.0). Are their new releases "tight" or "buggy". Your comment's are appreciated. I'll post a summary of responses. joe. phone: 301-369-7780 e-mail: joseph_r_massi@att.com (...!att!col400!jrm) or attmail!jmassi packet: kb2jg @ w3iwi

Their beta cycle is quite long and they took care of all the bugs (but one) I found. -- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mark Medici/SysProg3 * Rutgers University/CCIS * medici@elbereth.rutgers.edu ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

The point of this upgrade is that if you can find one or two Window programs worth having, you won't need Windows to run them. I have no doubt that there will eventually be a true 'killer' application available only for Windows. When it comes, I'll be waiting with Desqview. -- Sam Daniel * UUCP (Smart): netcom!daniel@apple.com Unisys * (Dumb): {...}!uunet!apple!netcom!daniel 500 Macara Ave. * Voice: 1-408-737-8000 Sunnyvale, CA 95131 * Disclaimer: Your mileage may vary...
