It figures.  I switched from PCPLUS to TELIX partly because of a
similar reason.  It seems that the different communications programs
are at their best for slightly different usages.  Personally I now
use PCPLUS for host mode situations, Telix for BBS contacts, and
MsKermit for VT102 terminal emulation in linking to our mainframe. 
The programs are thus best described as complementary.
