Here's a question that I hope someone out there can answer. Is it possible to capture formatted printer output from an application program (such as Harvard Graphics or WP) as a file so that it can be dumped to a printer from another PC using print or copy?? Thanks, Bill -- billl@anasaz.uucp or ...{mcdphx!asuvax}!anasaz!billl

In the vast majority of cases, yes. Some programs (e.g. WP) have an
option that lets you print to a file so you don't have to muck around with
other programs to capture the printer output. Some programs (e.g. HG - or
at least in version 2.1x) come with a program that allows you to capture
printer output and send it to a file; this is a program which you run before
you go into HG.
There are also programs available (e.g. LPTx) that redirect printer output
into a file. I'm sure many of them are available via FTP, and I'm sure
someone will post about where to get them.
