My wife is a big MS Word user, and I've recently started using it too. She just switched to Windows 3.0 on a VGA, and moved to Word for Windows. There are lots of nice improvements, but one thing drives me bananas: the WYSIWYG display insists on scaling the page wider than the screen! I.e. you can only see about 5" of the 8"-wide page at a time. The display jumps back and forth between left & right side while you're typing, which is incredibly distracting, and it's also difficult to proofread a document when you can only see 2/3 of it! I looked through the (marginal) Word for Windows manuals, and could find no hints on how to fix this problem. *Can* it be fixed, or is this just a "feature" of the WYSIWYG display and the size of the fonts they use? Can different (smaller) fonts be used, or is there some way to re-scale the "page size" or something like that? Thanks for any tips! Gary Fritz fritz@hpfclp.sde.hp.com
