I am forever dedicated to Qmodem SST. I hear version 5 is coming out soon (with mouse support and vt100 bug fixes)... What I want to know is how other people feel about their comm programs, and which one they think is best. I've been using Telemate for over a year now and really love it. It already supports a mouse, multitasking (edit/view text files and perform simple DOS commands while d/u-loading or during an online session), a windowing interface, internal Zmodem, many customizable features, user-programmable macro keys and a powerful script language with a compiler. It will use your monitor in many popular character-based modes giving you as many as 50 line on your screen (if your monitor and card support it). Telemate will also use any expanded or extended memory you have. It works wonderfully with Desqview. In the past I tried Procomm and Telix but they can't touch TM for features. The current version is 2.11. Telemate is a little sluggish on an 8mhz 8088 with 640k RAM and a 2400b modem but it's definitely usable.
