[comp.os.msdos.apps] Ghostscript Previewer -- how to use it?

beh@po.CWRU.Edu (Bob E. Hetzel) (03/14/91)

In a previous article, I said ...

>I recently obtained the ghostscript previewer,
>but am unable to get the blumen thing working.
>If anybody knows of some docs that were written
>for it, please point me in the right direction.
>Also, when I run it, the message I get is
>"can't find file ghost.ps (from command line)"

The problem was that I had not grabbed all the files.
You need the ghost file and the ghost-2.1fonts files
as well. After some trouble uncompressing them,
I found that the simtel20 archives (through wuarchive)
were the only place that I could find that had a
reasonably error free version. Most of the sites I tried
originally had corrupted versions of the .Z fonts file,
and so I could not uncompress them or untar them properly.
By the way, I have found a newsgroup (moderated) called
gnu.ghostscript.bugs which is exists for the sake of some
support of the postscript viewer.
Thanks again to all who responded.
