I am a student at Wharton trying to earn an MBA and I'm doing a project on marketing models for PC software. I am looking for references to both data and models on this topic. Specifically, I would like sales (units, dollars) of PC applications by category (e.g. spreadsheets, word processors). I would also like to know if anyone is aware of any models or methods that are used to predict sales in the PC software industry either by category or by product.
