I understand about backfilling conventional memory with expanded memory, leaving only a bare minimum of conventional. My question is that when I am left with only 256k of conventional, do I have to continue to use DesqView to run ALL Dos programs or does that expanded memory emulate conventional memory with respect to DOS (that is, will I still have 640k available under DOS)? The whole point of back-filling is to replace some of the memory below 640K. Therefore the answer is that you should still have 640K of conventional memory if you've done everything right! Regards, Dan.
