I am having a problem getting deskview to multitask. It says in the
documentation that deskview will multitask on a 286 if you are using
enhanced expanded memory. It apperars that deskview should see and make use
of the memory by itself if the memory is present. I have installed
deskview and when I look in the memory status window the area for
multitasking (the largest availble column under expanded memory) is
always zero. This indicates that dexkview doesnt reecognise my expanded memory
as being enhanced. The memory does show up under the total available column.
Configuration:
DECstation 212lp (286 clone using tandy mother board)
ATI VGA wonder card
Compex ethernet adapter (irq7; i/o addr 280h; ram addr d000:00
DOS 4.01
2 meg memory (of which 1 meg is extended)
BOCARAM ATPLUS expanded memory board (with 4meg memory). It is claimed in the
documentation that it is EEMS compatible.
BRPEMM.SYS Expanded memory management software supplied with board (lim 4.0)
