I've worked with Lotus 123 and Quattro for a few years and have never been able 
to figure out how to do this--I don't think there is a way :-(.  The only 
options I can think of are to format the top row in the spreadsheet as 
currency and the rows below as commas.  You can also insert a column before 
the numbers and set the width to 1 or 2 and fill this column with dollar 
signs (but I don't think this looks very good).  If anyone does have a good 
method I'd love to hear about it.
