Hello! I have a certified, bonafide copy of Messy DOS 3.3. The manuals have Phoenix written all over them. I paid $85 for the thing a year and a half ago. Now, with all this talk about DOS 5.0 coming out real soon, I thought I'd find out how to upgrade my copy of 3.3. Surprizingly, it seems that there is no channel for me to upgrade!! (Even to 4.01). Microsoft wouldn't have any of it, and the people at Phoenix are "going to call me back" as of last October. (This, after a non toll free call and a non toll free directory assistance to get their number, which seems to tell me that this is not the proper channel to inquire about upgrades). So, can anyone tell me how I should upgrade my copy of DOS without shelling out the full price? Thanks! Milan .

Rumour has it that almost anything will be valid as an upgrade to DOS 5.0, as was the case with Microsoft Windows 3.0. If you can prove you breathe, you can get an update. Since this version of DOS will also be available throught the retails channels, you may be able to upgrade through your local dealer. -- .signature not found, format hard disk instead? (Y/N)_ Eric L.
