A friend gave me this to post: I am a graphic designer working on the Mac. I have a client with MessDOS WordPerfect 5.1. I have been trying to give him a 7 inch wide 2 inch tall 300dpi black and white graphic which he can print on his DeskJet. I cannot seem to find a format which my software can output and which his WP 5.1 can read. I have tried MacPaint but this is limited to a fairly small size and 72 dpi (I need a width of 2115 pixels at 300 dpi). I have tried PCX but (at least with my translation program) this is limited to 640x480. Also WordPerfect displays my 640x480 300dpi PCX files correctly in page view but prints them at 72 dpi (not enlarged just low resolution at the correct size). I have tried two different TIFF formats. The first gets vertically distorted about 4 to one and disappears entirely if I try to scale it. The second comes up entirely blank. In neither case do I get a message saying that the program can't read the format. HELP! How can I get my image into MSDOS WP 5.1? Please email responses, will post a summary when all responses are in... -- Liam Breck breck@umvlsi.ecs.umass.edu

you can use WordPerfect 2.0 for the mac to do this... at least I believe the scaling is correct. I used WP 2.0.1 "Save As...WP 5.1 (DOS)" and he printed it, I did not see the output, but NO complaints!! WP 2.0 Mac beats the pants of MS Word 4...! for many different reasons!!!!
