[comp.os.msdos.apps] File format of MSWORD or WORDPERFECT

Debande@smd.ucl.ac.be (Benoit Debande) (05/16/91)

Does anyone know where/if/how I can find the internal format of MSWORD
and/or WORDPERFECT files ?

I would like to produce some documents with a mimimum of format included as
paragraphs, bold, underline, fonts ... These files should be opened by
MSWORD or WORDPERFECT without need of translation (Yes, I know RTF, but....)

Any pointer welcome ....

I dont know about MSWORD, but you can buy the format for Wordperfect
directly from them, I think the documentation book is $50. They do
a really good job of documenting the structures. Im sure if you
call them direct they can set you up.
