No, It's not yet out. However, rumor has it that it will be on 11 June. That rumor is based on three things; 1. It has been reported that way in the trade press 2. A large software chain (Egghead) has a special event announced for 11 June 3. Microsoft will be making a major announcement at a special meeting of the IBM User Group of the Boston Computer Society on the evening of 10 June As a beta site (personally - not company connected); they aren't telling us anything! /s/ Bob Gettys Any opinions here are solely my own and have nothing to do with my employer!

I was at a presentation the other day, and the IBM rep said June 12 will be the public release day for both IBM and MS DOS 5.0. Charles

The June 3 PC Week has a front page article with the head: Industry Girds For Transition To DOS 5.0 In the article, (in fact line 1,) they "announce" that DOS 5.0 will be released by Micro$oft next week. Tah-Dah.
