[net.ham-radio] Need a dish

rad@fluke.UUCP (Randy Davison) (01/13/86)

I'm looking for a four or five foot dish for WX satellite work. Has
anyone on the net been down this road before and if so what suggestions
do you have?

Specifics: F/D = .4 to .6
            lighter weight preferred
.5 inch peak to peak surface deviation max
            operating freq = 1.691 Ghz.
no feed or mounting hardware required
lowest possible cost (naturally- otherwise this would
               be easy!) < $200

Randy,
I would be interested in what your doing with WX satellite stations. I
have been thinking of trying this sort of thing for some time
but.......you know things like making a living, eating, sleeping sort
of get in the way!
