[comp.os.msdos.apps] QEMM

jdb@reef.cis.ufl.edu (Brian K. W. Hook) (02/05/91)

Howdy all. Thanks for all the help with QEMM and QRAM. However, I have one
more nasty little problem. Whenever I use QEMM, it automatically, no matter
what, puts my system into V8086 mode. I have tried using the NOEMS, NOXMS,
NOHMA, and just about every other switch imaginable to me.

This causes conflicts with certain other programs, and in this case all I need
is for QEMM to be used to loadhi certain programs.

Anyone know how to make QEMM to NOT change into V8086.

Brian

QEMM OFF will leave the processor in real mode (p. 15 of v5.0 manual).
Of course, you might not want to do this as expanded memory won't
be available.

DOes anyone have the address, toll-freenumber, whatever of Quarterdeck
so that I can buy a copy of QEMM.
Also, how much does it cost, is there any other vendors I should
call so that I could save money.
Thanks.
