Windows will only start WinWord, Excel and Smalltalk when invoked from a floppy version of MSDOS 5.0. All other programs, including Word and Quick C, when invoked from the windows program manager, cannot be found by windows. All of these programs can be successfully invoked from PCDOS 3.3. Anybody know what the problem is? -- David Feustel, 1930 Curdes Ave, Fort Wayne, IN 46805, (219) 482-9631 EMAIL: feustel@netcom.com or feustel@cvax.ipfw.indiana.edu

These programs must be either in your DOS PATH BEFORE starting WIN3, or you must give the FULL path to them in the PIF files. This second option is the more efficient method, as it keeps you DOS path as short as possible. -- Brad Willcott, ACSnet: bxw@ccadfa.cc.adfa.oz Computing Services, Internet: bxw@ccadfa.cc.adfa.oz.au Australian Defence Force Academy, UUCP:!uunet!munnari.oz.au!ccadfa.oz!bxw Northcott Dr. Campbell ACT Australia 2600 +61 6 268 8584 +61 6 268 8150 (Fax)
