Haven't really done any mail/merge work since the days of Magic Wand and CP/M. In that program I had comparison and if statement capability which permitted variable letters to be built based upon incoming criteria. A simple thing like addressing one or more individuals (child/children) followed by one or more of their names seems to be a real problem with our users out there. We certainly can produce whatever data extracts they need from a DB, but how should they handle that in their particular WP? How can they use child or children whichever is appropriate in their letters depending on the input of one or more names? Any WP experts out there with mail/merge experience? fred -- Fred Rump | 'A little learning is a dangerous thing/Drink deep CompuData, Inc. | or taste not the Pierian spring' Alexander Pope 10501 Drummond Rd. | SCO Advanced Product Center Philadelphia, Pa. 19154| Internet: fred@COMPU.COM (215-824-3000)
