Well I hope someone out there can help me. I'm running Qmodem version 4.1b on an IBM PS/2 Model 55sx with IBM DOS 4.0. Sometimes after exiting Qmodem completely and running something else for awhile I try to restart Qmodem and it completely locks up my machine, I can't even do a Ctrl + Alt + Del to reboot, I end up having to turn off the PC and then restart it. It seems pretty random but when I'm using Windows v3.0 it sometimes locks it up and other times Windows tells me Qmodem has violated system integrity and that I should reboot my PC. This problem never shows up when I first invoke Qmodem only after I have already stopped one Qmodem session and try to restart it again. I really like this software but I may be forced to go to something else if no one out there can be of assistance.
