I have a Z80 imbedded D/A box that I download basic programs to from a PC over a serial link. I would like to find an existing program which does something quite simple: send one character, wait for it to echo, make sure the same thing came back, send the next. Does any existing telecomm program do this? I'd write my own but the PC lives 600 miles from me and it would be nice to have something user-friendly and idiot-proof. No, I can't run a traditional error-correction protocol. I have the Z80 box fooled into thinking the PC is a terminal. -- "In fact you should not be involved in IRC." -- Phil Howard
