I'm looking for a utility to remove partitions from the partition table of a hard disk. All the versions of fdisk for DOS and various unix flavors will not delete a partition except their own, unless they are using the whole disk. The exception is PC/IX, and that will delete anything, but won't run on any display adaptor newer than CGA. I occasionally install on my test system a version of unix which won't deinstall itself, and I want to blow it away without losing the DOS version I use for testing c.b.i.p submissions. What an offer!! If you send me a copy of a utility to do this I will share it with the world (after LOTS of testing) by posting in c.b.i.p. Fame and immortality can be yours, at least for a moment. I can't post parts of commercial packages, of course. As ever, please send submissions to ibmbin@crdgw1.crd.ge.com. -- bill davidsen - davidsen@sixhub.uucp (uunet!crdgw1!sixhub!davidsen) sysop *IX BBS and Public Access UNIX moderator of comp.binaries.ibm.pc and 80386 mailing list "Stupidity, like virtue, is its own reward" -me
