[comp.os.msdos.misc] Unremovable files in 4.01

I recently made some experiments with the 'attrib +r/-r' commands in
makefiles using MSDOS 4.01. It didn't work well - it seems that attrib
didn't return success code to make. And something must have gone
wrong, because now I can't remove the files.

Suggestions?
