[net.ham-radio] Learning the code...

MEHARP01%ULKYVX.BITNET@WISCVM.WISC.EDU (01/22/86)

Greetings and Felicitations!

I have been interested in becoming a licensed ham for some time now.
The barrier has always been (as it should be) learning the code. I have looked
at the Heath series of courses that they guarantee will teach you the code well
enough to pass the exam. I have also heard that sometimes ham groups will
conduct code classes.

Does anyone out there have any experience with code classes or the
Heath courses? I am interested in initially trying for Technician or General
class. I appreciate any responses and if I get a sufficient number, i'll
summarize to anyone interested.

Thanks for your time in advance!
