I found a collection of graphics in Word Perfect format (.WPG)
that I would like to be able to use in Ventura (v2.0). Though Ventura
has a liberal assortment of formats that it can read in, it does not
accept graphics in this format. Does anyone know how to convert these
pictures to most any other format (without Word Perfect)?

Check out Hijaak. It specializes in converting graphics between some 40 different formats (not everything converts to everything else). It can be obtained mail order for something less than $100. There is also another product, The Graphics Link (at least I think that's the name), which purports to do the same and costs about the same. Good luck! sk

I even have Hijaak (I haven't upgraded to the new one yet though) and it says that the files are locked and not in expected format. Although some of the WPG files that come with WP are reasonable for things like Birthday invites for your kids they don't seem to be useful or exportable outside wp.
