I want to find out about tools on the market allowing to interactively build the user interface of a Windows application (in UNIX the name UIMS is used for this kind of tools). Is there something like a market leader, or which of the tools are the most popular ones. Please send email(hxb@ztivax.siemens.com) to me or post your responses. Thanks in advance,

Programmer's Paradise 1-(800)-445-7899 has a bunch of tools. I think the type you're looking for is Actor 3.0. The blurb under the ad reads "provides you with comprehensive classes tyhat offer complete support for all Windows 3.0 functions, messages, and styles." Lists for $695, they have it for $559. They've got a bunch of other stuff, too. I'm not familiar with any of it. The ad appears on p. 59 of Byte Magazine, Sept. 90. I'm not quite sure what you mean by "interactively build the user interface." If you mean is there a cut-and-paste type program like "WIndows Apps interface Construction Set" along the lines of Budge's/EA Pinball Const. Set or music or adventure const. set. I don't know of any. Hope this helps. Louis Giliberto
