[comp.os.msdos.misc] Ramdrives on PS/2 model 50 SX

newman_r@cho006.cho.ge.com (10/28/90)

Hello Netlanders! I have a question regarding ramdrives. I'm using a
stock IBM PS/2 model 50 SX (2 Meg RAM), running DOS 3.3. When I
configure the system for a virtual disk, it gets in an infinite loop
at powerup ... the ram test runs, and execution starts down through
my config.sys, until it reaches the ramdrive statement at which point
it reboots itself, and starts all over again. Other device drivers
include mouse.sys (Logitech) and dasdriver.sys (for autosketch). I
don't think these are the problem. Several other people here have
duplicated the problem, so it's not unique to my system.

My question: Does anybody know the cause of this problem, and is there
a work-around or fix?

Please e-mail, I will post if there is interest.

Thanks,
