I am about to begin writing a large application on a 386 running MS-DOS with 8Meg of RAM. We are thinking of using Microsoft Windows Development Kit and the Microsoft C compiler. I've been told that DOS will not allow one to access more tha 640K of memory at any given time, without using a moving window. Is this true? Is it (implementing a moving window) easy to do? If not, is there a compiler that will allow us to access all 8 Meg easily, with some form of a graphical user interface (menus, etc.)? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
