Before I download a few megabytes of terminal program documentation over my 1200 baud modem, I thought I'd ask first. What PC terminal programs let you use the full 25 lines of the screen for displaying text that comes from, say, a BBS? (I don't want to see the status line at the bottom of the screen. I want to be able to make use of that line.) Also, I'd like to know if you can make the terminal program send "real" keyboard scan codes to the BBS. For instance, hitting "alt-x" should send the two bytes of scan codes to the BBS, not ask the user if "he really wants to exit the terminal program." I understand that some programs will let you switch back and forth between "real" keyboard scan codes and interpreting the alt and F keys as commands and macros. Also, I would expect these programs to be able to switch back and forth between full screen 25 line mode and whatever their default mode is (usually 24 lines plus a status line on the bottom). Does Procomm, Telex, Boyan, Qmodem, Pibterm, GT Power, and whatever else you can think of allow this sort of thing?
