I accidentally reset my modem to factory settings (not sure exactly how). I need a COMM package that will talk directly to the modem prior to the ATDT, and allow me to execute an AT&V to see what the current settings are, and an AT...whatever...&W to set them back to what they need to be. However, Crosstalk and Kermit seem to filter out these directives. Can anybody suggest a comm program with a little less discreteness.

My own RBcomm doesn't care what you type to the modem either before or after dialing. Available on SIMTEL20 as PD1:<MSDOS.MODEM>RBCOMM32.ZIP or CS.CMU.EDU in /afs/cs/user/ralf/pub (change *directly* there) as rbcomm32.zip. -- {backbone}!cs.cmu.edu!ralf ARPA: RALF@CS.CMU.EDU FIDO: Ralf Brown 1:129/3.1 BITnet: RALF%CS.CMU.EDU@CMUCCVMA AT&Tnet: (412)268-3053 (school) FAX: ask DISCLAIMER?
