Has anyone come across a text filter that strips off ANSI escape sequences from a text file ?. I'm capturing screen output from a TCP/IP session with a mainframe, but I'm receiving all the escape sequences as well. This makes it very messy to read if printed directly, and needs a lot of editing to replace all the escape codes with blanks. Ideally I'd like : C>type textfile | filter >prn But I'd be grateful for any ideas on this - not necessarily DOS based. Thanks in advance. I've done that for .log files containing escape sequences. See /pc/ts/tsqed10.arc for the said macro.
