Jon--Many people make QSL cards, and most of the current contenders
are listed in the classified ads in the back pages of QST each month.

In terms of uniqueness--I have used black & white photographs on
my cards for many years. Just take a 3x5 picture to your local
"Instant Printing Service" or whatever. They'll make a plate or
screen (costs ~$15 but lasts forever) and then they'll run off
however many cards you want, now or anytime in the future. In
this way you can make your card as unique/personal as you wish.
Alternatively, if you know someone who's a graphics buff, have him/
her draw a unique design in camera-ready form, and take that to your
friendly local printer.

Most of the printers in QST have "stock" cards which get the job done,
and relatively cheaply. You'll find in many cases, however, that
if you buy one of these cards, you'll soon have a half dozen just
like them on your wall from other stations.

Uniqueness is going to cost you a bit more money, but I've gotten
so many compliments on my card that it's been worth it to me. And
besides, it may have gotten me some replies that I wouldn't have
gotten otherwise. I'll never know, but....
