Recently I recieved an Arced executable file that exibits very strange behavior when run on an HP Vectra with a VGA adaptor. During the Unarc process it suddenly begins scrambling the file names and writing them to the root directory of the destination drive. If you don't notice the problem, and continue the installation when it asks for overwrite permission, it eventually begins to write scrambled files to the origination disks. This is not a VIRUS. The program unarcs fine on a HP vectra with the Hercules emulation. I'm told the version of LHarc is 1.1.3 The configuration of the machine, other than the video card appears to make no difference at all. Any suggestions?
