I know everyone is going to think this is crazy but I need to write a specialized utility that will will perform linking functions (...Yes, I do mean an object file linker!). I am looking for some example code or linkers that I could use as a tutorial for my project. Has anyone written an MS-DOS linker lately and would like to share their expeiences and knowledge? Does anyone know of a good manual I could order from Microsoft, Intel or some other source? I have a good understanding (and the necessary manuals) of object module formats, but I need to get a grip on the linking side of things! Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! Mike Gardner P.S. This linker would be for an 8088 machine (for now). If you are sending example code (PLEASE!), please mail that to me too... Our system has a difficult time retrieving code from directories on the network... Thanks.
