I have a simple (??) question or two regarding ZIP files. The documentation that comes with PKZIP indicates that a ZIP file can, in theory, span multiple disk media. Anybody know if this has actually been implemented anywhere? I have a 4Meg text file that compresses to about 1.3Meg -- too big for one 1.2 floppy disk! Other question: does anyone know of a PD C source for a PKZIP compatible program? If it only supports one compression method, thats fine. I want to be able to compress files on my PC, send them to school (UNIX system) or my dad (other wierd operating system), and decompress them there, and vice-versa. I found C source for a decompresser, but what about a compressor? Thanks for the help!
