[comp.os.msdos.misc] 128x52 Characters on VGA

c2s4027@tamsun.tamu.edu (Cedric Sims) (02/16/91)

	I have an Amstrad PC2386 (386-20Mz). It has a VGA 640x380
card built into the motherboard. The computer can with 2 editors,
one for 80x25 editing, and the other with something close to
128x52 editing using a tiny font. Now, is this small font software
or is it in hardware. If it's hardware, it there a way to access
this font from assembly/C ? If software, would I have to create
my own font to get this enormous amount of characters on screen
at one time? Is there software that can force DOS into this tiny
font mode?

Thanks in advance...
