Hi there... I remember there being a discussion regd. exe compressors a few months ago. Sadly, I did not pay too much attention then... and I find I need information on it now.... I have access to a copy of lzexe 0.91 and have used it... I was wondering if there were any commercial implememtations of one... I remember reading that RTlink has one but having looked at Rtlink 4.01, there doesnt seem to be one... I also thought that I read that one came with Turbo pascal 6.0? but I must be mistaken cos there did not seem to be one in the package that I looked at... Would anybody be able to fill in these gaps in my intelligence. Many thanks in advance. Chai..

Try pklite. Unlike lzexe, it is a professionally written program. -- _ Kevin D. Quitt demott!kdq kdq@demott.com DeMott Electronics Co. 14707 Keswick St. Van Nuys, CA 91405-1266 VOICE (818) 988-4975 FAX (818) 997-1190 MODEM (818) 997-4496 PEP last

LzExe .91 and Diet 1.00d are in freeware, while PkLite 1.03 is shareware and in the commercial market. Pklite is made by PkWare. On the other hand, lzexe does come with upackexe, which is very useful for packing those programms that are already packed with MicroSloth's worthless EXEPACK packer, and it works on some EXE files that PKLITE will just refuse to do. Then again, PKLITE is from Phil Katz, and it's hard to beat a source like that.
