I have a question for you pc gurus out there. I have an Intel machine with a 386 with a bizarre memory configuration. It have 512k base memory, 4 Meg extended so I have 4.5 Meg of memory but cannot run programs which require 640k base! Any ideas on fooling the system to using a 640 block of memory elsewhere and calling it base? Any ideas on software which can get around this? Windows helps, but it slows down the applications significantly and also doesn't like some programs (i.e. ATMATLAB, Lotus Freelance 3.0 etc). Along the same lines, I was wondering if a shareware utility exists to place memory resident and/or drivers into extended memory, so I can at least have my 512k base or close to it. Specifically, my net drivers are the big memory hogs. Thanks in advance. Charles Winstead
