The extra blank lines are to create a screenful out of a 3/4 screen message. This means the top of the message doesn't scroll off the screen when the next message header is printed by readnews(I), on 4.1bsd. This message is short enough it doesn't need such protection. I have found that 6 times out of ten all that happens is the top few lines of the message get scrolled out of the screen, i.e., exactly what these folks are attempting to avoid is happening anyway!! Please don't fret over the screening. You just introduce the inevitable ... human error. Chris Helmers (alberta!chrys)
