I am faced with the most difficult decission of my life. I want to buy a $2200 DOS compatible (Gateway 2000 386SX) system but my wife wants to get a $3200 OS/2 compatible (Model 55) system. She wants the luxury and support of an IBM system and she works for IBM. She feels being compatable at home with a system (OS/2) running the same programs she will have access to at work is critical. I want the cost benefits and flexibility of buying a more generic system. I want to upgrade the motherboard in the next few years (full 386,, perhaps 486) and add inexpensive add-ons like tape backups, 9600 modem, etc. Any advice...I want to save my marriage and still have a still have a good home computer. Can OS/2 run on a DOS machine?? Will WordPerfect like the same on DOS and OS/2?? I want windows....will DOS and OS/2 windows look the same??? Be compatible?? EMail your thoughts...thanks Earl Tryon AgriDate Resources Inc. Milwaukee, Wisconsin -- Earl Tryon Agridata Resources Inc. 330 E. There is something called a dual boot utility which prompts you which OS
you want run before booting. Both OS's reside on the same partition.
