Advice please. Any reviews on the performance of PC/GEOS? Where is it available from, anyway? Educational pricing, preferably less n' $100. Thanks. -rich Richard Sucgang : Dept. of Anatomy and Cell Biology Columbia University (sucgang@cuhhca.hhmi.columbia.edu; de slime god rs54@cunixf.cc.columbia.edu)

It feels a lot faster than Windows 3.0 You don't need as much memory as well. I have been running with 1MB of memory for a long time before I got more memory. I know some people that run it on 10MHz XT and they say that the speed is OK. I haven't tried myself though. Overall this is a great product, the user interface is great. All the tools are very useful and useable by novice computer users.

There is an extensive and extremely informative product review in the April 8 issue of INFO WORLD. >Where is it available from, anyway? Educational pricing, preferably >less n' $100. I've seen it for $115 from one of the big mail-order software houses. Does anyone know of a better price ? *Is* there actually an educational discount ? LeaF
