Looking for a vi-like editor for ms-dos (Will be
running on a notebook 386).  Commercial or free.

There is STEVIE, CALVIN & ELVIS. ELVIS seems to be the most
comprehensive, CALVIN is the fastest of the bunch, while STEVIE has some
niceties like online help screens. All are freeware, and available on
SIMTEL20. There is also MKS vi from Mortice Kern System, which is a
commercial program.

Get vi from Mortice Kern Systems, or better yet get their whole
