On March 15, the Canadian DX Association in conjunction with the Toronto
DX Club will be hosting a special dinner metting at the Taipan
Restaurant. Cost of the authenic, multi-course, Chinese diner from one of
Toronto's better Chinese restaurants will be $18.00 per person (plus taxes
and gratuities).
At the meeting Rick Dorsch, Jr., NE8Z, accompanied by his XYL, will show
slides plus a video on the latest HC8X DX-pedition. Much of the HC8
wildlife will be explained also.
Rick is a medical doctor. He is licensed to practice in a number of less
developed countries. His past or present calls include: F0MH, FG0MH,
HC1EE, HC1MD, HC5EE, HC7EE, HC8EE, HC8MD, HC8VHF, HC9A, HD5EE,
HD8EE, HD8CD, HD9EE, HD9X, HD0E, HD0EE, HD8CD, KZ5GC, PJ8RD, VP2AAB,
VP2EEL, ZF1CW, AND WB8ABN. His XYL has operated under the calls HC1MM
AND HC8MM. Many of us have worked Rick under one or more of the above
calls.
Plan to attend. It should be a great evening.
There will be a cash bar at 18:30 with dinner at 19:30 (local).
As we have to commit to the restaurant for the number of people
attending, please let me know, at the address below, if you with or
without your XYL, or friend are coming. Also, so that the club doesn't get
stuck for paying for committed seats for people who don't show up, I
would appreciate your sending your cheque for $22 to cover the dinner,
taxes and gratuities and a similiar amount for your guest.
