I have been having a problem formatting disks on my PC. My A: drive is a high density 5.25" drive. The first time I format HD disks, it usually tells me that there are a bunch of bad sectors. The second time I format the disks, it cuts the numbers down. I keep doing this till it tells me the disk is fine. I put together the machine through mail order parts. The drive is made by Toshiba and bought from Microlab last August. It has been working fine till now. Is the drive out of alignment or something like that? Should I buy a drive cleaner? Is the drive bad? Any ideas? Please mail responses to me. I will post a summary to this newsgroup. Pete ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Peter P.
