I have been looking high and low for an SMTP daemon (TSR) program to run on my PC so that I can receive mail. I'll consider commercial or public domain software. So far I have not found anything. The PC mail products which I have seen all require a mail server to be set up. We use the Wollongong products here for TCP connectivity and they only provide a mail sender program. Any leads would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, -- Jim Vallino Siemens Corporate Research, Inc., Princeton, NJ jrv@demon.siemens.com princeton!siemens!demon!jrv (609) 734-3331

It not only provides an SMTP daemon for MS-DOS but also allows mounting of network file server disks and print spooler sharing. The Lifeline mail is a nice screen-oriented mail tool for sending and receiving mail on the PC. It also supports multiple folders. Hope this helps. Ken Seymour seymour@astech.ast.saic.com
