Anyone out there know of a program that runs in the background (TSR) which automatically compresses/uncompresses files? I am familiar with a program called SQZ! which does this for Lotus worksheets, but am looking for a more general-purpose program. Evidently, it traps disk accesses and compresses/uncompresses the data between the disk and the program. The ideal solution would be completely in software, but please let me know about any hardware solutions also. I'm not necessarily looking for shareware (although it would be nice). Please e-mail responses to me - I'll summarize to the net if there is any interest.
