Now that the Philipines have ousted their old government (and taken over the national voice of the Phillipines by force), I would very much to give them a listen, but I can't find them at any of the frequencies in my guide. For that matter, does Haiti have a radio station? Also, in case you're interested, radio Nicaragua can be reached on 6015 in English for about an hour starting at 0400. The problem is that VOA comes on half an hour into their broadcast and starts interfering. I find that their programming consists of A) propaganda, B) real news and C) american space-cadets who came down to Managua "be one with the revolution" or something like that. It's easy to recognize the propaganda and space cadets and filter them out. The real news can be an eye-opener, as they cover a lot of stuff the American press won't touch. -ed falk, sun microsystems.
