I have a 386sx with the Chips and Tech. chip set and 4 megs of RAM. I have 384k of my RAM as ShadowRAM, and 3 megs as extended. Of the extended, 1 meg is used for disk cache (smartdrv), and about 360k is used by DOS 5.0 as UMA, leaving me with 1.8 megs of extended memory. My question is whether it would be a better use of my resources to change my ShadowRAM to extended (although I couldn't figure out how to do it from setup). I use Windows extensively, and do run out of memory every once in a while. Right now I load the video and system BIOS into the ShadowRAM, but I don't notice any difference in the performance with or without those items loaded into ShadowRAM. Anyone with suggestions or comments? -Dylan
